Michael dressed Elsie for church this morning. Therefore she had on her most girlish dress, complete with extra fluff, ruffles, and pink polka dots. She had on lacy socks and pink and white Mary Janes. She had on pink lady bug barrettes with pink polka dots on them.

Elliot walked in and saw her as she sat up on our bed. "Buggy looks like a princess," he said.

The "7" understanding on the alarm clock continues to work and be wonderful. But it's gotten Elliot thinking about sevens. He asked me the other night when some students came over for dinner, 'mama, the students have sevens, too? They get up with the seven?'

This morning we went to wake up Michael in an effort to get to church on time. We usually let him sleep until 8am. But I was a few minutes early. Elliot went bounding in and saw the clock. It read 7:56. 'Papa, papa! It's 7! Time to get up, time to get up! Get out of bed! Don't you see the 7?'

I found him in his bed reading the other night around 6:30pm. I asked him why, since he goes to be at 8. 'Six, mama.' Sure enough. There was a six. And we stay in bed at six. Why did we not start the magic 7 trick at age 2????

You just have to love they way this little guy thinks....at least for now. The thing is that he is ALWAYS thinking and he's only going to get better at it. This should get very interesting and keep mama and papa on their toes for years to come!!

Maybe it's time to plant the seeds of 8! If you start now you could prepare him for when he turns 4 and his new number is 8, now that he's older....

I really enjoy the blogs but seem to have trouble sending comments but will try again. Both of them are getting much more grown up but especially Elliot.
