Drinkin' and drivin'

You see Elsie here with her favorite recycle find - the beer bottle. And this is Elliot's favorite at the playground. Notice the belly - she's not starving. And yet, as I type, she's screaming because she wants a snack...

Poses

This was Jack and Elliot's way of striking a pose together. Sorry for the lack of new pictures. It's getting a little more crazy around with getting ready to move... Here's a video of our new house: CLICK HERE  It's a little fast b/c Michael was filming and walking at the same time. Try not to get dizzy...

So because of some awfully thick green snot and possibly bad ears, Bug and I are home today. We thought we'd update you on the goings on here. Bug has just started to become interested in writing/drawing. She particularly likes her editing time with the New York Times, as you see here. In other news, Elliot went with Michael to the circus last weekend. He LOVED it. You see him here visiting the tigers before the show. Maybe more on that later.
Just this past weekend the kids and I went to visit some friends in South Carolina. These are good family friends, and everyone was happy to see everyone, as the pictures show you. The weather was great and we enjoyed each other.  And lastly, this is a picture of our new house! We hope to close March 4. More on that later, too.  Happy Monday, everyone.

Kiddos

So things have been happening around here. Here is Bug in a happy moment, when she's not screaming. She's getting some major teeth and they must be very painful. She is generally angry at the world and has been for about 2 weeks. This is not the Bug we know and love. We're hoping it really is just teeth and not some awful personality change. Elliot is showing off his dinosaur underwear, which he loves even more than the Thomas underwear. He makes me report what KIND of dinosaur he is wearing for the day before we can put them on. I've tried to tell him that the dinosaurs will bite his bootie if he poops in his pants. Apparently this is not enough of a threat, as he continues to do so. ...

More quotes

Michael dressed Elsie for church this morning. Therefore she had on her most girlish dress, complete with extra fluff, ruffles, and pink polka dots. She had on lacy socks and pink and white Mary Janes. She had on pink lady bug barrettes with pink polka dots on them.

Elliot walked in and saw her as she sat up on our bed. "Buggy looks like a princess," he said.

The "7" understanding on the alarm clock continues to work and be wonderful. But it's gotten Elliot thinking about sevens. He asked me the other night when some students came over for dinner, 'mama, the students have sevens, too? They get up with the seven?'

This morning we went to wake up Michael in an effort to get to church on time. We usually let him sleep until 8am. But I was a few minutes early. Elliot went bounding in and saw the clock. It read 7:56. 'Papa, papa! It's 7! Time to get up, time to get up! Get out of bed! Don't you see the 7?'

I found him in his bed reading the other night around 6:30pm. I asked him why, since he goes to be at 8. 'Six, mama.' Sure enough. There was a six. And we stay in bed at six. Why did we not start the magic 7 trick at age 2????
