So today we ventured out to Fort Pulaski, just this side of the beach. It did cross my mind on the way, you know, I'm about 4 minutes from the beach. Why not just go? I restrained myself and paid the $3 entrance fee to this historic place. It was pretty cool. I think most of the meaning was lost on Elliot, as he told me that part of the fort looked like a barn where Farmer Brown keeps his sheep and cows and pigs (see Thomas the Tank Engine, of course). The cannons were cool and the architecture was beautiful, I thought. Click
here for a little bit about the fort. I'm not the history buff, but I found it interesting. Elliot especially liked trying to pick up the cannon balls in the museum. Buggie liked the keys she got to hold.

I trust that the cannon balls were nailed down in some way! Have you checked Elliot's pockets?
