Ottawa Farms
Where do blueberries grow like crazy? Coastal Georgia, of course. This afternoon we drove to a farm where you can pick your own. We have picked before in their strawberry fields. The kids were amazed at a field filled with blueberry bushes taller than them as far as their eyes could see. Of course it happened to be 98 degrees with a heat index of 115. So we didn't stay more than 30 minutes. But also at the farm we bought two watermelons and a tomato. Our total was less than $5. I guess sometimes if there is no farmer's market, you have to go to the farm!

Crabbing
So Michael took the older 2 crabbing yesterday afternoon. I was pessimistic. But they came home with 6 blue crabs, who made it onto our dinner table drenched in butter last night, and then again for lunch today as crab cakes. They were great! But so is anything that to which you add buttery crackers, mayo and eggs, roll in bread crumbs and fry...
